I work primarily with native hardwoods -- cherry, black walnut, maple, beech and oak.  Each of these woods has a characteristic color, strength and grain pattern.   

There are also an increasing number of other native species and exotic hardwoods that are sustainably harvested and offer some beautiful options for fine furniture.  Below are examples of some of the most common hardwoods I work with.
